About StackScored
Last updated: April 2026
StackScored is an independent SaaS pricing intelligence platform. We verify prices against live vendor pages every 24 hours. No paid placements. No vendor influence on rankings. Every number on this site traces to a real vendor pricing page that anyone can check.
Who Runs This
StackScored is built and maintained by Gustavo Carriconde, Founder & Editor. Every pricing page, every comparison table, every editorial assessment traces back to one principle: give decision-makers the truth about what software actually costs.
Before StackScored, I spent years watching SaaS companies quietly raise renewal prices, remove free tiers, and bury fees in fine print. The "comparison sites" that were supposed to help were often paid placements in disguise. I built StackScored to be the site I wished existed: automated price verification, transparent scoring, no vendor influence.
I am directly responsible for the editorial standards on this site. If you find an error in our data, email me at [email protected] and I will investigate and correct it within 24 hours.
Our Mission
We exist to give decision-makers the truth about software pricing. That means:
- Every price is verified, not self-reported. Our automated scrapers visit vendor pricing pages daily and extract prices directly. We do not rely on vendor-submitted data, press releases, or third-party databases.
- Renewal prices and hidden fees are shown. Many vendors offer attractive introductory pricing, then raise rates at renewal. We track and display both.
- Rankings are algorithm-driven. Our StackScore methodology is applied identically to every product. Commission rates are never a factor in rankings.
- Price history is tracked in git. Every change to our pricing data is committed to version control, creating a permanent audit trail of vendor price changes.
How We Make Money
StackScored earns revenue through affiliate commissions. When you click a link on our site and make a purchase, the vendor pays us a referral fee. You pay the same price you would pay going directly to the vendor.
This is the only financial relationship we have with the products we cover. There are no paid placements, no sponsored reviews, and no vendor-funded rankings. Our editorial output is never influenced by commission rates.
Full details are available in our affiliate disclosure.
Our Methodology
Our pricing data pipeline is fully automated and verifiable:
Headless browsers scrape vendor pricing pages from US-based servers every 24 hours.
Every data point is validated against strict Zod schemas. Invalid data is rejected, not published.
Products receive a StackScore (0-100) from four weighted components. No subjective adjustments.
Every price change is committed to version control. The full history is auditable.
